Rena Virginia Dooley Tomlinson

Rena Virginia Dooley Tomlinson, 90, of Big Island, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. She was born in Bedford County on May 31, 1931. A daughter of the late, Charlie Foutz and Nannie Nancy Roberta Garrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack White Tomlinson.
Rena was a member of Sedalia Baptist Church. She loved helping others and was known for her kindness to anyone in a time of need. She enjoyed the outdoors while gardening and working with flowers. She was also a wonderful cook who loved fellowship with her family, friends, and her beloved pets.
Rena was survived by her two sons, Gary Tomlinson and Glenn Tomlinson and his wife, Valerie; two grandchildren, Carrie Tomlinson England and her husband, Chris, and Christopher Glenn Tomlinson; one great-granddaughter, Caleigh Cash Tomlinson. Also surviving are many friends throughout the community.
