Renee Shockley Wood
Renee Shockley Wood, 45, of Midlothian, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013. Born February 26, 1968 in Portsmouth; she was the daughter of Foy David Shockley of Yorktown and the late Mary Sue Maddox Shockley.
Renee was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Roanoke. Prior to becoming to a homemaker, Renee worked as a Mortgage Servicing Representative.
In addition to her father, Renee is survived by her husband, Lewis Wood, III; a brother, Christopher Matthew Shockley and wife Kyle; beloved nieces, Caroline and Courtney; father and mother-in-law, Lewis Wood, Jr. and Phyllis; uncle Charles Maddox and wife, Kathy; and many close cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, One Mountain Drive, Suite 106, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
A Funeral service will be conducted 4:00 PM, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Rev. Kevin Brooks and Lewis Wood, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg (434-237-9424) is assisting the family.
