Rhoda Lott Williamson Dunlap, 91 of Lynchburg, Virginia died on Friday, October 25, 2013, at Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was twice married, first to the late Dr. Mervyn W. Williamson and second to the late Phelan Anderson Dunlap.
Born Tuesday, June 6, 1922 in Laredo, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Reuben Byron Lott and the late Magdalena Perez Lott.
She was a retired employed of Lynchburg Foundry and a member and Elder of Euclid Christian Church.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph Byron Williamson and wife, Debbie of Arrington, Alan Lee Williamson and wife, Pamela Arkin of Farmville and Skip Williamson and Harriett Hiland of Vermont; one daughter, the Rev. Rhonda Williamson Baker and husband, Bob, of Schuyler; one brother, Reuben Byron Lott and wife, Erldene of TX; one sister, Riller Ruth Willoughby and husband, Frank of TX: eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by one brother, Lt. Col. Colon Joseph (C. J.) Lott, and one sister, Zanie Lott Edwards.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Euclid Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Hamilton officiating.
