Rhonda Booth Mitchell

Rhonda Booth Mitchell, 61, of Bedford, passed away while surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Born on November 01, 1959 in Lynchburg, VA. A daughter of the late Nathan Thomas Booth and Ruby Viola Floyd Branch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Thomas Booth.

Rhonda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many. She loved her family, especially her grandkids. She also loved shopping trips and her trips with her girlfriends and her trips to New York with her husband John. She loved Christmas and decorating for different holiday throughout the year. Her humor was one of a kind and would always make folks smile and bring laughter to a room. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Rhonda is survived by her loving husband, John E. Mitchell; daughter, Teresa Orange Harris and her husband, Terry; three grandsons, Lukas Wyatt Hogan, Ethan Thomas Hogan, and Alex James Hogan; three step grandchildren, Tyler Lee Harris, Autumn Leann Parker and Haylee Elizabeth Harris; brother, Ronald Dwayne Booth; sister-in-law, Diane Booth; three special friends who were like sisters, Connie Rhodes, Patti Jurkus and Dawn Roberts. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousin’s other family and friends.

A memorial service and celebration of Rhonda’s life will be conducted at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Tom Croft officiating.
