Richard Brewster, 64, of Lynchburg, Va., died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his second home in Culpeper, Va. after a long illness. He was the husband of Phyllis Brewster.
Richard was born Wednesday, September 12, 1951 in Wolf Penn, W.V., a son of the late Jasper and Thelma Brewster. He was a retired industrial mechanic. Some of his hobbies included fishing, scuba diving and photography. Richard also had a love for classic cars, riding his Honda Goldwing Motorcycle and playing jokes on his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by his daughter, Victoria Brewster; brother, Marvin Brewster; sister, Nancy Allen; nieces Jennifer Kelley and Jennifer Bennett; nephews, Frank Hutchinson, Jamie Allen, Jimmie Brewster; great nephews, Wyatt Kelley and River Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Carolyn Hutchinson and her husband Larry and sister-in-law, Sadie Brewster
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved “son,” Hunter Brewster; sister, Carol Brewster; brothers, James Brewster and Jackie Brewster; nephew, Brent Hutchinson; father-in-law, Frank Skinner; mother-in-law, Nellie Skinner.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. At Richard’s request, no services will be held.
