Richard D. Walker

Richard Dale Walker, 48, of Moneta, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2016. He was born in Roanoke, VA on November 11, 1967. A son of the late JoAnn Epperly Walker Pickle.  In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his step father, Charles R. Pickle and aunt, Lena E. Gray.

Richard loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, classic Chevrolet muscle cars, motorcycles especially Harley Davidson. He was a member of A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments (A.B.A.T.E.). He loved his family, his friends and his two dogs, Zeppelin and Angel.

Richard is survived by his father, John Davis Walker; fiancée, Karen Davis; a brother, Roger Walker and his wife, Ann; a sister, Robin Walker West and her husband, Phillip; one niece; seven nephews; aunt, Thelma Meador; uncle Richard Gray; two special friends who are like family Paul and Kelley Dickson and also numerous other family and friends..

A funeral service and celebration of Richard’s life will be conducted at Radford Baptist Church at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 with Pastor Karl Hofheinz officiating.
