Richard \”Œdick\” Lewis
Richard \"Dick\" Lewis, 90, of Moneta, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in St. Paul, MN on February 28, 1923, a son of the late Joseph Smith and Ida Schoenberger Smith.
Dick was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Moneta. He served his country in the United States Marines.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Bernardine Lewis; five children, Linda Egbert and husband, John, Cindy Laquinta and husband, Ken, Sue Caruso and husband, Tom, Carol Hanchak and Bill Lewis and wife, Trish; Ten grandchildren; Thirteen Great-grandchildren, one sister, Terry Brown and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral service will be held on 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Moneta with Deacon Chris Barrett officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Parrish Columbarium. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, (540)-586-3443.
