Rita Adams Formon, 60, of Lynchburg, Va., died Sunday, December 25, 2016. She was the loving wife of Michael Formon for twenty-three years.
Rita was born Friday, February 17, 1956, in Chatham, Va., a daughter of the late Olivia Turner Adams and the late Roy Neal Adams. She worked as a bank teller for over thirty-five years. She was an avid runner for thirty years and participated in many marathons. She dedicated herself to many other physical activities, especially hiking. She always had an interest in arts, often painting and creating crafty gifts such as wine glasses for her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by her step-sons, Dustin McLean Formon and his wife, Rachel, and Kory Christopher Formon and his wife, Jenny; her canine companion, Tojo; and many other relatives.
A celebration of Rita’s life will be conducted at Church of Christ, 19550 Leesville Rd, Lynchburg 24502 at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017.
