Robert Abbott, 84, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
Born on July 13, 1930, Robert was the son of the late Robert Abbott and the late Jane Pope. He proudly served the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict, and worked at Babcock and Wilcox for over thirty years.
Left behind to cherish Robert’s memory are his three children: Leslie Alessandri and her husband, Matthew, Elizabeth Brown, and Robert Abbott; three grandchildren: Aaron Newman and his wife, Chris, Nicholas Alessandri, and Justin Abbott and his wife, Amber; two great grandchildren: Presslee Abbott and Mykenna Booker; a sister, Alyce Champagne; and his former spouse, Elizabeth Abbott.
