Robert Anderson “Andy” Morse, 66, of Lynchburg, Virginia went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 21, 2021. He was the husband of Minhwa Ahn Morse for thirteen years.
Andy was born in Lynchburg on July 9, 1955, the son of Lloyd Rex and Myrice Gayle Padget Morse. In his younger years he and his family moved around quite a bit. He returned to Lynchburg in his high school years and remained after graduation in order to attend Liberty Baptist College from which he graduated in 1983. He met Minhwa at a church they both attended while Minhwa was enrolled at Liberty, and they married in 2008. Shortly after they married, he obtained his Master’s degree in Accounting.
Andy was a self-employed certified public accountant and served many clients in Lynchburg and across the nation. He loved his country and was a long-time member of the Republican party, serving as Treasurer of the Lynchburg City Republican Committee for several years. He was always active in civic activities and was Key Club Chairman of the Kiwanis Club of Lynchburg. Andy had a passion for the Lynchburg community and loved serving others in our region and was actively involved in Lacil Disability Services. He was a dedicated and humble servant to his Lord Jesus Christ and served faithfully as Deacon at Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church. In Andy’s spare time, he loved to laugh and loved his community, his church, his home and his children. He was a simple man with a big heart. Andy was an accountant to some, but a friend to all. His spirit was gentle, warm, and kind, and his humor and quick wit was endearing to all who were blessed to know him.
In addition to his wife, Andy is survived by son Matthew Morse (Heather) of Montana, son Ian Morse of Lynchburg, Virginia, daughter Mindy Ahn Morse, son Micah Ahn Morse, grandchildren Nolan, Kayleigh, Maddison, Tristen, and Peyton and sister Anna Chargin (Marty) of Tuscon, Arizona.
