In Memoriam: Robert Arthur Carson

September 26, 1938 – December 17, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bob Carson, a beloved and life-long resident of Lynchburg, VA.

Bob dedicated many years of his life to Davidson's Clothing for Men, where his commitment and hard work made a lasting impact. Also known for his infectious wit and heartfelt nature, Bob filled his days with joy and shared that joy generously with those around him. A true outdoorsman, he found solace and excitement in the pursuits of hunting, fishing, and golf, creating enduring memories with friends who were fortunate enough to share in these adventures.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Chris (and Anne) Carson, sons Bill and Scott Carson, his ex-wife Becky Darst, and his favorite cousin Cliff (and Susan) Wallace. Bob is also survived by his second family, the Bryants: His girlfriend, Carol Bryant and her children, Tom (and Sherry) Bryant, Joan (and Greg) Anderson, and Neal (and Jill) Bryant.

May he find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to bring comfort and warmth to those who knew him. A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life is being planned for a later date.
