Robert Dabney Drinkard, Jr.

Robert Dabney Drinkard Jr., 58, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital after a short illness.

Born Thursday, April 16, 1953 in Portsmouth, VA, Robert was a son of the late Bermuda Harvey Drinkard and Robert Dabney Drinkard. He was the owner and operator of R. D. Drinkard Electric and an avid race car driver.

Robert is survived by a daughter; Irene Renee Drinkard Bradley, two sisters; Patricia Drinkard-Nuckols and her husband, Charles and Deborah Moore and her husband, Keith, and many close friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. A celebration of Robert's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Dr. Tom Bryant officiating.
