Robert David Tyree

Robert “David” Tyree, age 67, of Madison Heights, passed away Sunday February 21, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Doris Tyree, and his daughter Wendy Tyree Maness.
David was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was self-employed and worked in Home Improvement.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Kathy Campbell Tyree, sons; Andrew Tyree and fiancée Jody Tedder, John Robert Tyree and Angie, three grandchildren; McKenzie Tyree, Gavin Maness and Christian Tyree, son-in-law; Eric Maness, sisters and brothers-in-law; Dianne and Harry Abbott and Phyllis and Clayton Minnick. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at Madison Heights Christian Church at 11 am Wednesday, February 24,2016, with the Rev. George Harris and the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6-8:30 pm Tuesday at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, Va. 24502.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project.
