Robert “Bob” Edward Ollweiler, 88, of Moneta, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his residence. Bob was born in New York City on August 22, 1926. He was the son of the late George Robert Ollweiler and Margaret Layer Ollweiler. In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Scarth Ollweiler and a son Dale Robert Ollweiler.
Bob served his country in the United States Army Air Core. He enjoyed boating, fishing, water sports, baseball, and reading. He was active in the community. Bob was involved with Lake Christian Ministries, Lions Club, Bedford Ride, and he was a volunteer math teacher at Montea Elementary and Staunton River Middle School. He was also a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Moneta.
Bob is survived by his son, Wayne E. Ollweiler and his wife, Angela; three grandchildren, Cassandra Rullman, Zachary Rullman and Emma Joan Ollweiler; one sister, Barbara Reynolds and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2014, at 11:00 am at Resurrection Catholic Church, with Deacon Chris Barrett officiating.
