Robert F. (Bob) Kanthack
Robert F. Kanthack, 82, of Amherst, VA passed away on December 28, 2013, at the UVA Hospital. He was the husband, of Shirley A. Kanthack for 62 years.
Born July 21, 1931, he was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Amherst, VA. Bob was also a member of the American Legion Post 274. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donato and Frederick W. Kanthack, an infant daughter, Laurie Kanthack, a brother, Frederick C. Kanthack, and a sister, Elizabeth A. McGibboney.
Besides his wife, Bob is survived by two sons: Frederick P. (Cynthia), and Robert W.
Kanthack (Carrie), of Kingman, AZ; three daughters: Ann E. Robinson (Richard), of Brandywine, MD, Paula M. Clemons (Michael), of Edmonton, KY, and Margaret J. (Peggy) Kanthack (Roger), of Amherst; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, a devoted brother in-law Roy L. Anhalt (Tammy), of Kingman, AZ, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other devoted relatives and friends.
A Christian Memorial Service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, or your favorite charity.
