Robert “Robin” Glenn Taylor, III, of Lynchburg passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018.
Robin was born in Lynchburg on May 23, 1942, the son of Robert Glenn Taylor, Jr. and Margaret Winfree Taylor. He is proceeded in death by his parents and a sister, Douglas Taylor Ford. Robin is survived by his sister Julia Taylor Howerton of Lynchburg, his brother Lee Winfree Taylor of North Wilkesboro, N.C. and his daughter Emily Lora Taylor of Dacula, Ga.
Robin was retired from working as a Insurance Agent and was an owner of the Blue Dahlia Restaurant for many years. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and was also a proud member of the Elk’s club. Robin loved music of all types, the outdoors, animals, fishing, gardening, motorcycle riding and the blue ridge parkway. His fun-loving demeanor and his jocular sense of humor brightened the lives of his family, friends and strangers alike.
A celebration of Robin’s life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday April 21, 2018 at the Westminster Canterbury Chapel. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow.
