Robert Irvin Goff

Robert Irvin Goff, 82, of Madison Heights, died on Thursday, February 5, 2015. He was the husband of the late Carol Johnson Goff. Robert was born in Lynchburg on April 10, 1932 a son of the late William Thomas Goff and the late Viola Martin Goff.

Robert is survived by his adoring family, which was his greatest joy in life; his two daughters, Teresa Doss and husband, Marvin and Kathy Tomlin and husband, Vaughan all of Madison Heights; four grandchildren, Matthew Tomlin and wife, Judilynn of Lynchburg, Starr Harris and husband, Chad, Molleigh Tomlin and McKain Tomlin all of Madison Heights; five great-grandchildren, who loving called him “Baw Baw”, Conner Harris, Grayson Harris, Paylin Harris, Lincoln Tomlin and Graham Harris and three loving and cherished nieces, Carolyn Miller, Linda Watson and Sylvia Maddox. In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Robert was a member of Mountain View Christian Fellowship and a retiree of Lynchburg Foundry with thirty-three years of service.

A graveside service will be conducted at Briarwood Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 officiated by the Rev. Chad Harris and Pastor Charlie Oliveri. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Christian Fellowship, 120 Dillard Road, Madison Heights, VA 24572.
