Robert Jack Childress

Robert Jack Childress, 66 of Lynchburg, died on Monday, November 26, 2012, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of June Childress.

 

Born Tuesday, November 5, 1946 in Lynchburg, he was a son of Juanita Stewart Childress and the late Robert Jewett Childress.

 

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by: a daughter, Connie Marie Carrigan of Danville, a granddaughter, Lauren Croft of Danville, a sister Jill Elder and husband Dennis of Roanoke; a brother, Joseph Childress and wife Rashmi ; a niece Sonia Childress all of CT.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg .A Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in Tharp Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
