Robert Kenneth Brunk, 73, of Lynchburg VA, a loving, faithful husband for 52 years and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior on Oct 2, 2012, after a very brief illness. He was surrounded by his family who comforted him with his beloved scriptures and his favorite praise music.

He is also survived by his sisters Betty Grimes and Jean Neff, as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers John and Joseph, and his sister Virginia Gesford.
A service celebrating his life will be held at Heritage United Methodist Church on Friday, Oct 5, 2012 at 11AM, 582 Leesville Rd. with a gathering for family and friends immediately following. The family suggests those wishing to make memorials consider making donations in memory of Robert Brunk to the Heritage United Methodist Pre-School, 582 Leesville Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502 or Gideons International, P.O. Box 4723, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses, and staff of Lynchburg General Hospital ER, Cath Lab, and CICU for the care and compassion shown to our beloved husband and father during this difficult time.
Daddy modeled his life according to the standards set by the life of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If we were to choose one set of scriptures to portray the values he held dear it would be those he marked in his Bible, Psalms 73:25-26; \"Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.\"
