Robert Lang

Robert Lang, 89, of Madison Heights died Tuesday October 8, 2013. He was the husband of the late Grace Burnette Lang.

Robert was born October 8, 1924 in Lynchburg a son of the late Grover Cleveland Lang and the late Alice Robertson Lang. Robert honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a professional machinist by trade. He was a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church.

He is survived by three children: Preston Lang and wife Vicky of Midlothian, Deborah Caughey and husband Rich of Madison Heights and Carol Gallier and husband Ricky of Madison Heights, seven grandchildren: Stephanie, Chris, Kevin, John, Tammy, Heather and Bryan, and twelve great-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Greg Lang.

A Celebration of Robert\"™s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday October 11, 2013 at Madison Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. R. Todd Blake officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights is serving the family.  434-929-0055
