Robert P. Brunett
Captain Robert P. \"Bob\" Brunett, 67, of Forest, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 7, 2013. He was the husband of Jane Rega Brunett for 40 years.
Born August 1, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, Bob was a son of the late Walter Brunett and the late Conchetta Caliva Brunett. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Brunett.
Bob was a Captain with U.S. Airways Commercial Airline retiring with 19 years of service. He was a member of the Airline Pilots Association, a deacon and active member for many years of Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Annapolis, MD, where he ministered to the youth of that congregation. More recently he was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Lynchburg. He proudly served his country as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his loving wife, Jane, Bob is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Williams and her husband, Jon, of Coleman Falls; his son, Paul Brunett and his wife, Mary Allison, of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren, Ffion Williams, Elias Williams, Griffin Williams and Skye Williams, all of Coleman Falls, Jude Brunett, Oliver Brunett and Avril Brunett, all of Lynchburg; a brother, Richard Brunett and his wife, Lorrie, of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Maguire, of Vermilion, OH, Louise Brunett, of Jupiter, FL,; his mother-in-law, Adeline Ford, of Forest; several nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
A celebration of Bob\"™s life will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Baptist Church with the Dr. F. Gerald Kroll officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral ceremony in Virginia Memorial Park with full military honors presented by the American Legion Post 16.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer\"™s Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or Heritage Baptist Church Building Fund, 219 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
