Robert “Rob” Joseph Nosenzo aka “The Big Dadu,” born September 20, 1949, in New York, NY and resided in Forest, VA. passed away early on the morning of Thursday, January 7, 2021 with his family by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Maryann Elizabeth Nosenzo; brother, John Nosenzo and wife, Debbie; along with sons Michael and wife, Elizabeth Nosenzo (and two children Ellison and McClendon) and Jeffrey and Joy Nosenzo (and son Braden), and several nieces and nephews.
Upon earning his Master’s degree from Syracuse University, he became one of the youngest admitted to GE’s MMP program, as well as to be elected president of their Elfun Society. Rob, in recent years, was enjoying retirement from being Director of Services Business Development at Harris Communications in the telecommunications industry.
Immensely humble, realistic, quietly observational, loving, and quick witted, he possessed a keen knack for storytelling of years past; he was truly a loving husband and the definition of a family man. Rob’s most treasured time was relaxing with and enjoying the company of family, whether on the lake, at his home, or the homes of others.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Virginia Memorial Park, Forest, VA.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Rob’s honor to either the Forest Volunteer Fire Department or the Bedford County Department of Fire & Rescue.
