Robert Vincent Bailey
Robert Vincent Bailey, 55, of Bedford, VA, well known Optician in CT, entered eternal rest Sunday May 15, 2011. Born in Stamford, CT, Wednesday, October 26, 1955; a son of Carroll \"Skip\" Bailey and Bette Ann Weaver Bailey.
Robert was the first center fielder for West Hill High School and also played left field, right field, and pitched. Robert was known as \"Coach\", and enjoyed coaching all the neighborhood children in soccer. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by three sons, Jason Bailey and wife, Jennifer, Eric Bailey and wife, Carolyn, Stephen Bailey; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Juliana, and Aiden Bailey; one brother, Daniel Bailey and wife, Johanna; one sister, Sandra Piter and husband, Alan; former wife, Linda Bailey-Torres; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Bailey.

A funeral service will be conducted 11am Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Bedford Christian Church. A memorial service in Connecticut will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 540-586-3443.
