Robert William McKinney

Robert William “Bob” McKinney, 73, of  Bedford, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born on December 29, 1949, in Bedford, Virginia to the late William Edward McKinney and Nannie Belle Webster McKinney. 

 He loved working on cars, traveling the parkway, and taking trips. Bob would be classified as a gearhead; he loved his job as he worked as an auto mechanic and a Virginia state inspection mechanic for many years. He also was a longtime member of the Virginia Corvette Club. Bob was a very loving and supportive husband. He also loved his cats. He will be missed by all who knew him.  

 Bob is survived by his loving wife Betsy McKinney.

 A memorial service will be held at Thaxton Community Center 1278 Thaxton School Rd, Thaxton VA. 24174, 2:00pm Saturday, April 13, 2024, with Pastor Greg Soult officiating. Casual attire please. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Bob’s memory.
