Robinson Dire Belcher

Robinson Dire Belcher, 85, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Carriage Hill Nursing Home. Born on June 21 1927, a son of the late Wallace Belcher and Nell Robinson Belcher of Grundy, VA. In addition to his parents Robinson was preceded in death by a son George Belcher.

Robinson was an airline mechanic with Piedmont/ U.S. Airways. He enjoyed farming, gardening and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Joyce Belcher; his children, Mary Jane Wilkerson and her husband, E.T., Richard Belcher and his wife, Jami, Glenda Joyce Wynne and her husband Brett Keister and Sandra Lea Maxey and her husband, Mark; seven grandchildren, Matthew Wilkerson and his wife, Hope, Kayla Belcher, Jacqueline Belcher, Eric Belcher, Glenn Maxey, Charity Overstreet and Celena Meador; one great-grandson, Logan Wilkerson; and one sister, Mary Ruth Belcher.

A celebration of Robinson\"™s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Donnie G. Glass officiating.
