Roger Lee Mathews Sr., of Madison Heights, VA age 61 was born on October 2, 1958 the son of Edward “Buck” Lee Mathews and Lillie Mae Wooldridge Mathews passed away on April 2, 2020 at his residence.
In addition to his father he is preceded by a son Roger Lee Mathews Jr.,
Roger is survived by his mother, Lillie Mathews; siblings, Wanda PerDieu, Kathleen Mathews, George Mathews, Carolyn Proffitt (Robert, “Red”); special friend, Diane Doughtery; nephews, Christopher Mathews, David Mathews, Andrew Mathews, Jacob Mathews, and Frankie Carroll; niece, Mary Mathews; great niece, Jamie Overstreet; great nephews, Quinton Mathews-Irving a.k.a. tater chip, Stanley Michael Mathews-Irving a.k.a. Popcorn, and C.J. Mathews-Irving a.ka. Peanut, and a host of many other loving family members.
Roger was a good soul, helped everyone he could that he came in contact with and lived his life to the fullest.
A memorial celebration will be held at a later date to honor Roger’s life.
