Roland Earl Dooley

It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Roland Earl (D-Bug) Dooley. Mr. Dooley was born October 6, 1945 and made his way to the Lord, November 24th, 2018 at the age of 73, as a result of ongoing complications from heart attack on July 12th of this year.
Roland Dooley was a dedicated father and grandfather and loved by many. He was a combat veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Roland was a long-time employee of Rubatex in Bedford, and an avid fan of NASCAR.
Roland was the son of the late Herman and Anna Belle Carter Dooley. He is survived by two daughters, Sonia Dooley of Rocky Mounty, VA and Tamara Dooley of Bedford; also, two grandchildren, Caleb Dooley and Alexis Huckaby also of Bedford.

A funeral service and celebration of Roland’s life will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Chapel in Bedford with Rev. Donnie G. Glass officiating.
