Roland “Ron” Ralph Hovis, 75, of Forest, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 27, 2017. He was a retired manager, working with several different companies. Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Ron was very active in his community.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Donna Hovis; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and AnneMarie Hovis; Matthew Hovis and Anita Soo Hoo; three grandchildren, Jacob Hovis, Alyssa Hovis, Amanda Hovis; two sisters, Paula and Daniel Watkins; Janet and John O’Patchen; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2017. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
