Ronald Lynn “Ronnie” Calloway, 62, of Charleston, West Virginia passed away Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born on August 4, 1961, in Lynchburg VA. Ronald was educated at Stonewall Jackson High School and also worked at several businesses. Some of his greatest joys were helping family and others, which he did with no complaints. He loved dressing up and listening to his favorite song, Greenlight.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Tyler Sr., his three sisters, Deborah Calloway Richardson Anderson, Jacqueline Calloway and Tonya Calloway; and a niece, Brandy Calloway.

Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Ruth Calloway Tyler; sisters and brothers, Darlene Calloway of Lynchburg, Va, Gloria Calloway of Charleston, West Virginia, James Calloway of Charleston, West Virginia, Renée Calloway (Tommy Jones) of Lynchburg VA, Diane Calloway Crawford (Ricky), Marie Calloway Patterson (Kenny); Children, Ronita, Ronald, Destiny, Jazmine and Michael. He’s also survived by nieces and nephews Shanel Calloway, Tommy Calloway, Deborah Richardson Jackson; great nieces and nephews, Tyrell Jackson, Darryl Jackson, Timothy Jackson, Teria Calloway, Montashia Calloway, Keiyanna Patterson, Cierra Calloway, Nakiyah Goins, James Calloway Jr., Kennija Ware, and Kenneth Ware. Special friends Ricky Calloway, Ken Ware Sr., George Slaughter, Ricky Crawford, Kenny Patterson and Tommy Jones, Charmaine Ford, Malcolm Bryant, Lawrence Ward, Demetrius Wright, Francis Wilson.

A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 3:00pm at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel. Interment will follow at the Baptist Cemetery.
