Ronald “Clint” Clinton Hayes, 28, of Longmont, Colo., passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015. Clint was the first-born son of Ronald L. and Kimberly Wilson Hayes.
In addition to his parents, Clint is survived by his brothers, Ryan and Ian; his maternal grandparents, Al and Jackie Wilson; and his maternal great-grandmother, Thelma May Stinnett, all of Lynchburg. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pastor Ronald Hayes and his wife, Ruby.
Clint was employed at Liberty University in the Information Technology’s Business Intelligence Office. He also attended the university, and was working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Journalism. During his attendance at LU, Clint coauthored several publications and attended a psychology symposium where his research was presented and published. He was also a member of several professional organizations. Clint had a love for writing and wrote a number of articles for Liberty’s Champion newspaper. He was a prolific, self-taught musician who played guitar, mandolin, piano, and bass guitar. He was also a singer and a song-writer, recording and performing in many venues in and around Boulder, Colo. and in several larger halls in Denver. At an early age, Clint developed a love for drawing and painting.
Clint was a proud older brother, as well as a loving son, grandson and great-grandson. He loved animals, the solitude of nature, his beloved Rocky Mountains, and art in all its forms. He is deeply loved by all his family and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Clint’s life will take place Friday, April 17, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church on Route 29 S. in Lynchburg (just past the Lynchburg Airport). An hour before the service, there will be an opportunity to offer private respects to Clint and his family. The burial will follow at Timber Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Bedford, Va.
