Ronald G. “Bud” Kidd

Ronald G. Kidd, Sr. \"Bud\" 80, of Concord was called home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 7, 2013.   He was the loving husband of 62 years to Dolly Bradner Kidd.

 In addition to his wife, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, a son, Ronald G. Kidd, Jr., wife, Bonnie, three daughters, Brenda Maxey, husband Howard, Sharon Wilkes, husband John, Ann Crickenberger, husband Jeff, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, a sister Ruth Taylor and a host of other relatives and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Evelyn and Camm Turner, father, James Kidd, sisters Shirley Stump and June Brooks.

 Bud retired from Lynchburg Foundry Lower Basin after 30 plus years. He enjoyed fishing with his family and friends.

 The family wishes to thank Dr. John Halpin and the entire staff of Lynchburg General 4th floor Oncology for the wonderful care they gave our Dad.

 The family will receive visitors from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory on 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA. A Graveside Service will be conducted by Pastor Frank Casper at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
