Ronald Harmon Webb

The Reverend Ronald Webb, 89, of Lynchburg went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2014. Born October 25, 1924, in Spout Spring, VA, he was a son of Oris J. Webb, Sr. and Myrtle Jefferson Webb. He attended Appomattox County schools, graduating in 1942. Drafted into the Navy, he was accepted into the V-12 officer candidate program, and educated at the University of Virginia and Stevens Institute of Technology, graduating from the latter with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Commissioned an Ensign in the U. S. Naval Reserve, he served in USS LST-1102 stationed in China. Following his Navy service he was accepted into Westinghouse Electric Co.
