Ronald Lee Frinks, 78, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Born September 13, 1934 in Alexandria; he was a son of the late Edward Lee Frinks and Margaret Thelma Acres Frinks.
Ronald proudly served his country in the US Army from 1957 \"" 1964. He worked as a patent examiner for the US Patent and Trademark office.
Ronald leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Nancy Jane Frinks; daughters, Sharon Paganelli and husband, Michael of Sterling,VA and Brenda Morrow of Jacksonville, FL; son, Edward Frinks and wife, Heather of Reston, VA; grandchildren, Brandon Morrow, Shannon Morrow, Jason Paganelli, Nick Paganelli, Hannah Frinks, and Grace Frinks.
A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 27, 2013 in the chapel of Everly & Wheatley Funeral Home in Alexandria, VA, with Rev. Kathy Nicholls officiating. Interment will be private.
The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and staff at the University of Virginia Medical Center and to the Woodlands of Charlottesville for their hospitality during Ron\"™s treatment for cancer.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center at UVA.
