Ronald Lee Overstreet passed away on September 8, 2023, in Richmond, VA. He was born on June 5, 1949, a son of the late William Graham Overstreet Jr. and Catherine Slaughter Overstreet.

Ronnie grew up and lived most of his life in the Lynchburg area. He graduated from Brookville High School in 1967 and worked in Retail Merchandising and Management for most of his career.

Ronnie was a successful buyer for Schewels Home Furniture for over 15 years. Ronnie loved his family more than anything and he was a beloved grandfather, affectionately called “Papa” by his seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He also had a very special relationship with his miniature schnauzer, Lucy, who he called his “angel.” Ronnie passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and his sweet dog, Lucy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, William Graham Overstreet III.

The family would like to thank the Bon Secours Community Hospice House in Richmond and their amazing doctors and nurses for the exceptional, compassionate care they provided to Ronnie and his family during his final days. They would also like to thank the Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House in Richmond for supporting the family with beautiful accommodations while they spent time with their dad at the end of his life.
