Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Thurman passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his home in Concord, Va.
He was a former employee of Moore’s Electrical and Mechanical in Altavista and had a passion for working on anything with a motor. Ronnie was a loving man with a kind and giving heart, who cared deeply for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Thurman; step-father, Raleigh Brooks; and special grandmother, Helen Burke.
Ronnie is survived by his mother, Phyllis Jean Brooks; one brother, Mark Thurman and his fiancé Roma Dorn; two sisters, Sandy Roberts and Kelly Thurman Vaughn and her fiancé Greg Watson; his fiancé, Deborah Jones; two children, John Thurman and Kristan Thurman; a special child, Deanna Silby; three grandchildren, Kadyn Noell, Camryn Thurman, and Kylie Thurman; two special friends, Ronnie Tolley and Justin Scott; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
