Ronald Wayne “Skip” Parks

Ronald Wayne Parks, 65, of Evington, VA. Entered the Gates of Heaven on April 22, 2012 He was the loving husband of Patricia Miller Parks for 46 years.

 

Ronald was born December 28, 1946 in Altoona, PA., son of the late George Leonard Parks and Clara Mae Carner Parks.

 

In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by a son, Gregory Scott Parks and wife, Vonda, of Rustburg: a sister: Darlene Mellott and husband, John, of Pennsylvania: two grandsons, Justin Ernest and Tanner Gregory Parks.

 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter: Elizabeth Ann Parks.

 

Ronald was a member of Leesville Road Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ronald was also a manager at Arby\"™s, Burger King and McDonald\"™s.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 24, 2012, from 7 \"" 9:00 pm at Leesville Road Baptist Church, A funeral service will be held at Leesville Road Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11:00 am with the Reverend Kevin Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
