Rose Wilmore Dawson, 88, of Lynchburg died Saturday, December 3, 2016. She was the wife of the late Hunter Kennon Dawson.
Rose was born August 20, 1928 in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Harry Wilmore and Margaret White Wilmore Eades.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Morrison and her husband Norwood and Margaret Ramsey and her husband Pete, all of Lynchburg, a son Hunter K. Dawson, III and his wife JoAnn of Cifax, 9 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one great-grandchild.
A private family graveside service will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
