Roy Haden Creasey was called home to be with his Lord on January 22, 2019. Born on February 28, 1945, in Alexandria, VA., Roy was a son of the late John Corbin and the late Mildred Creasey.
In addition to his parents Roy was also preceded in death by his brother Verlin Ray Creasey.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Donna; his children, John Creasey, and wife Toni, Matthew Creasey and Karla Clay, Lori Midgley and family, granddaughters Hali and Lauryn Creasey, as well as numerous loving family members and friends.
Roy graduated in class of 1963 from E.C. Glass High School. He then entered the US Air Force December 23, 1964, where he proudly served as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Roy then worked, with great pride, for 28 years at Piedmont Airlines in numerous job titles.
Roy loved to make others laugh using his talent with word play. His sense of humor and love of family filled every room. Roy loved being outdoors, watching wildlife and people. In his youth he was an avid softball player, and never stopped rooting for his beloved Yankees. Roy also loved many pets throughout the years, but none more than “Jake and Maggie.” He was tremendously proud of his children, grandchildren, and their accomplishments. Roy never missed a chance to brag by telling a story about his family.
