Roy Lee Wooldridge

Roy Lee Wooldridge, 87, of Montvale, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Blue Ridge, VA on June 1, 1936, to the late Cash William Wooldridge and Mary Lee Fralin Wooldridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Braeden Bailey- Wooldridge; brothers, Wordie Wooldridge and sisters, Lena Gish and Mae Logan.

Roy worked for many years at Rubatex. He had a passion for farming and was known as a “jack of all trades”. He loved watching and reading westerns as well. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by wife, Judith Webster Wooldridge; children, Mark Wooldridge and wife, Julie and Sherry Basham and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Carlee, Alivia, Peyton; brother, Elmer Wooldridge and wife, Neeley as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Walnut Grove Union Church Cemetery with Pastor Bob Auxier officiating.
