Roy Lynn Davis, 59, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord Tuesday June 3, 2014. He was the devoted husband of Gloria J. Davis.
Roy was born Oct. 30, 1954 in California and was raised in Texas, a son of Bob Davis of Beaumont, TX and the late Carolyn Borel. Roy loved Jesus Christ with all his spirit and soul. He loved to worship the Lord with songs that God gave him on his guitar. Roy honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed playing rugby for over 20 years.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by four siblings: Linda, Carolyn, Jimmy and Jason.
A Celebration of Roy’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 7, 2014 in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Pastor Henry Parker officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
