Roy Roger Nichols, 79, of Lynchburg passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home.
Born on February 13, 1941 in Bedford County, he was a son of the late Thomas E. Nichols and Minnie E. Jenkins Nichols. Roy is also preceded in death by three brothers: Herbert, George, and David Nichols and three sisters: Agnes N. Jefferson, Gertrude N. Little and Frances N. Chappelle.
Roy is survived by two brothers: Ed and Gene Nichols and several nieces and nephews.
Roy proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines and served for several years. After the service he became a truck driver.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Virginia Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. John Boyles and Rev. Austin Hull.
