Roy S. Croft, Jr
Roy Samuel Croft, Jr., 83, of Bedford, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 in Bedford Memorial Hospital. Born February 18, 1926 in Bedford County, a son of the late Mabel Croft and Roy Samuel Croft, Sr.
Roy served in the U.S. Navy and was a retiree of Rubatex Corp.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by two brothers, Hal Croft and Mack Croft and two sisters, Joe Milton and Jane Arthur. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hannah Croft; a son, Sammy Barker and his wife, Nina of FL; a step-daughter, Jane Carder of Bedford; two brothers, Lee Croft of Aberdeen, NC and Paul Croft of Arlington; and three sisters, Nell Blandford and her husband, Don of Bedford, Ann Fugua of Clinton, MD and Nancy Grey of Altavista.
Memorial contributions my be made to Campbell Rest Home, 1350 Longwood Ave., Bedford, VA 24523.
Private services will be conducted at a later date. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
