Ruby Lee Akers Williams, 79, of Lynchburg, Va., died Friday, July 7, 2017. She is the wife of Clifton Akers.
Born February 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Albert Williams and the late Lottie Sallings Williams. She was employed by Centra Virginia Area on Aging and she was a member of Tomorrow’s world.com.
In addition the her husband Clifton, she is survived by her children: Roger Hartsock of Dungannon; Sherry Jamerson of Lynchburg, Tamara Moore of Huddleston, and Chad Drinkard of Lynchburg; a sister: Nancy Vassollo and her husband, Al of Lynchburg; two brothers: Orban Williams, his wife Betty and Billy Williams all of Bristol. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
