Ruby Spinner Wade, 89, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Samuel L. Wade Sr.
Ruby was born in Bedford County on September 19, 1927, a daughter of the late Reuben and Pearl Anderson Spinner. She was a member of Holcomb Rock Baptist Church and worked many years for Villia Maria Academy until the closing. She continued her career at Generation Solutions and then with private families until her health changed.
Ruby was a devoted wife, loving mother, wonderful grandmother loving and caring riend to multitudes of people.
Her memory will be cherished by her children: Samuel Wade Jr. (Rosie), Patricia Wade, Carolyn Wade, Joe Wade (Cynthia), Linda Jennings (Willie), Shelia Harsley (Mark) and the late Davie Wade, grandchildren: Shirlene Wade, Samantha Wade, Carroll Wade, Charles Wade, Crystal Barnes (Phillip), Ashley Wade, Breonna Wade, Michael Wade, Gary Wade, Kevin Wade, Jenise Burford(Carlos), Nakia Haythe(Deceased: Randy Wade, Bernard Haythe III Rhonda Haythe), Davie Wade Jr., Tonya Wade, Donovan Wade, Darrell Wade, Davina Crawford(Billy), Tameka Wade, Emmitt Harsley III,(Kim), Katrina Taylor,(D.J.) and Kia Harsley: Fifty-seven great-grandchildren; Twenty-five great great-grandchildren; brother, Keith Spinner (Edna); two sisters, Marie Cook, and Naomi Buckmaster (Kevin); and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Holcomb Rock Baptist Church from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
A celebration of Ruby’s life will be follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Pastor David Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
