Rudell Harvey Campbell, Sr., 80 of Campbell County went to be with the Lord July 10, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his son, Rudell Harvey Campbell, Jr. (Rudy), his parents Howard A. Campbell and Nellie Metts Campbell, a brother, Howard A. Campbell, Jr., and a sister, Lois Maddox.
He is survived by his daughters: Linda C. Greer, of Midlothian, VA, Jill Body and her husband, Chris, of Roanoke, VA; a granddaughter, Lindsay M. Campbell, of Virginia Beach; the mother of his children, Veryl Cash Campbell; a dear and close friend, Nadine Painter, of Lynchburg; and many nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends.
The family will receive friends from to 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Rudell’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clyde Mawyer, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
