Russell H. Keenan

Russell Henry Keenan, 68, of Bedford, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at his residence. Born June 27, 1943 in Camden, NJ, a son of the late Mary Hornberger Kennan and Charles Kennan.Russell is survived by his wife of       years, Vera Sue Miller Keenan; two children, Russell S. Keenan and Bradenton, FL and Melissa Ann Proffitt and her husband, Kent of Richmond; three grandchildren, Christopher Keenan, Myra Keenan and Andrey Keenan all of Bradenton, FL; four sisters, Katherine Moffett, Elaine Wright, Evelyn Johnson and Charlotte Neff; and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorial contributions may be made to Bedford County Animal Shelter, 1307 Falling Creek Rd., Bedford, VA 24523.A memorial service will be held at a later date by his family.
