Ruth Louise Rhodes Pahel

Ruth Louise Rhodes Pahel, 87, of Forest passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late William Mackey Pahel.
Born in Scottdale, Penn. She was the daughter of the late Ernest O. Rhodes and Lovena Tedrow Rhodes. She was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church where she played the organ. Ruth was an organist from the time she was a young woman.
She is survived by three daughters: Janice “Jan” Robertson and husband, Curtis, Lourie Jean Pahel, Louanne Woody; grandchildren: Ronnie (Tracy) Moye, Steve (Amy) Moye, Curtis (Karin) Robertson, Jr., Lauren Robertson, Dakota Pahel-Short, Robert Elliot Pahel-Short, Corey Pahel-Short, Bryan (Becky) Woody,Chris (Melynda) Woody; 13 great- grandchildren; and nephew, Greg ( Janice) Pahel.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Inglewood Baptist Church with Pastor Kathy Nicholls officiating.
The family requests that those wishing to make a memorial contribution to consider Frenova Renal Research 920 Winter Street, Waltham, MA 02451-1457.
