Ruth Roakes Enochs, 88, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2018.
Born December 29, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William and Lucy Martin Roakes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Younger Enochs.
Ruth is survived by her son Timothy H. Enochs and wife Debra B.; granddaughter, Stephanie Enochs and great grandson, Shaun Reeves; granddaughter, Michele Herndon and her husband Bo, great grandsons, Craig Herndon and Cole Herndon, great-great grandson, Matthew Herndon, granddaughter, Kim McKimmy and her husband Nathan all of Roanoke; one sister, Lola Foster and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Home, 860 Red Hill Rd, Brookneal, VA 24528.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
