Sally was a lover of history and in her retirement immensely enjoyed working for the Lynchburg Museum System as a guide at the Old Courthouse and Point of Honor. She passed on this love to her family and grandsons with many excursions to historical sites in the state as well as her love of reading and research. She was a proud and supportive mother and grandmother who always comforted and thought of others first, listened deeply, and shared her contagious smile. Sally immensely enjoyed gardening and the natural world. A favorite day trip was visiting Peaks of Otter with her family. She was very grateful for her beautiful surroundings and especially her dear friends, and the loving care she received, at Westminster Canterbury.
