Samuel Cook

Mr.  Samuel Cook died peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018 in Lynchburg, Va. at the age of 88.

Sam is survived by his sons, Eric Cook and Alan Cook; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of Lynchburg, Va. He is preceded in death by Arliss M. Wilson, of Lynchburg, Va.

Sam was born on August 31, 1930 in Lynchburg, Va. He loved life and people; there was never a dull moment around Sam as he tried to put a smile on the face of everyone he met and knew. His passion was children and enjoying life one day at a time.

A celebration of Sam’s life will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 6 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, with Pastor Carlton Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
